Last week brought the sad announcement that Star Trek: Enterprise will not be renewed for a fifth season. That means there will be no current Star Trek on television for the first time in many years. This comes after the improvement in the current season episodes of Enterprise. The episodes so far this season have been quite good, for the most part. I really enjoy the references to the previous series, and especially like the stories featuring the Andorians and Jeffrey Combs. The episodes featuring things Vulcan have been strong. They have showcased a Vulcan world and society logically exprapolated from previous series and fan fiction, and I would love to see more of them. I will really miss Enterprise. I have been a Trekker since day one of the first series, and regret there will be no new stories to look forward to after May of this year. Live long and prosper!!!
