Yahoo Widgets

Yahoo has bought Konfabulator, the company that makes Widgets, neat little applets for your computer. The best news is that the Widgets are now free, not $19.95.

I have been wanting to try Widgets, but did not want to pay for it. Now, I have spent too much time this morning downloading the application and browsing through the Widget catalog.

The download comes with several sample Widgets that are nice examples. I like the Calendar Widget, the Clock, and especially the To Do List Widget. There are over six hundred other Widgets to choose from and try on your desktop.

Yahoo Image Game

A new game based on the Yahoo API has been created here. Four images from Yahoo search are presented. The player is asked to choose the one that does not match the subject of the other three images. This is harder than it sounds, as the subject is at times difficult to figure out.

The game can present some raunchy photos sometimes, so be forewarned. Don't play it in public venues.
