The University of St. Thomas, a private university committed to the liberal arts and to the religious and intellectual tradition of Catholic higher education, is seeking a Circulation Services Supervisor to work at the Doherty Library.
This individual will report to the Library Director and be responsible for supervising the circulation department and student assistants, ensuring the efficient circulation of library materials, handling patron circulation requests and problems, preparing reserve material, processing overdue notices, collecting fines, handling patron circulation accounts, maintaining statistics, closing the library and other tasks related to the circulation and shelving of library material.
The position requires a bachelor's degree, excellent customer service skills, communication and organizational skills, reliability, punctuality and the ability to work cooperatively with others. Prior library experience preferred.
This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position. Some evenings and weekends are required. Expected start date is July 2006. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
