We are currently seeking a Library Services Associate to join us in our Boston office.
Responsibilities:
· Discuss acquisition of information materials with Business Unit (BU) or local office leaders in assigned offices.
· Facilitate publication acquisitions for an area and local office through national purchasing center such as books, journals, and technical publications both internal/external.
· This includes receiving approvals, maintaining internal computer systems, processing
invoices, and distribution of materials.
· Coordinate orders for KPMG publications with Distribution or other internal publication centers; this includes ordering, distributing, processing of debits, and maintaining internal computer systems.
· Process materials utilizing internal computer systems for local office library or distribution to area local offices including, cataloging, labeling, and routing.
· Perform routing of journals and periodicals within the area and local office, utilizing internal computer systems; this includes checking in materials and routing them to local offices, updating database as needed, tracking overdue issues and utilizing routing reports to keep publication listing current.
· Maintain the library collection of print including: books, journals, and technical publications both internal/external; this includes filing, maintaining check out system, shelf list, performing inter-library loans.
· Coordinate bulk order purchases for the area, including working with BU leaders to determine area and local office needs; manage distribution of bulk orders in local office.
· Discuss local office library functions with local office Operations Directors/Managers and library designees.
· Manage and maintain relationships with filing services for assigned offices, including quality control of services performed.
· Maintain other collections housed in the library, such as annual report files, subject files, etc.
· Other tasks as assigned by the Associate Director.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
· Personal computing skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database, and e-mail).
· One year of experience in library technical services, including acquisitions and library materials management
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Work well without direct supervision and remain flexible.

Library Assistant, Library Associates, Mountain View, California
Library Associates is seeking for immediate consideration, a motivated and dependable LIBRARY ASSISTANT for an ongoing position with a major international company in Mountain View, California. The Library Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the site library collection, with an emphasis on circulation and facilitation of customer requests for documents, books, articles, notebooks and other materials. This is a part-time position, 25 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who has just begun or is in the middle of an MLIS program and who desires practical work experience in a dynamic corporate environment.
