Library Associates seeks an experienced fulltime Library Technician to work at a major government library in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a team leader and will have prior knowledge of serials.
Qualifications:
+ HS school diploma, one to two years of college preferred
+ Knowledge of the BIB record
+ One to two years working in a library setting.
+ Familiarity with serials.
+ Knowledge of the Voyager ILS system.
+ Experience verifying and creating online records
Responsibilities:
+ Perform inventory of master microfilm reels using the Voyager ILS system
+ Verify microfilm condition
+ Verify and create online records for each item
+ Other duties as assigned
Note: This position is pending on the successful acquisition by Library Associates of the contract.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
