While I am working on a way to search this site by state, you may use either of two search boxes at the bottom of the right hand column.

One search box is for Technorati, and the other is for Google. Either should pick up all the entries for a search term except the very latest. Both search engines can be a little slow in adding new posts, usually a day or two at the max.

I tried both search tools just now, searching by state, category (academic, public, etc.), and keyword "circulation". Plesase use these until I have a permanent list by state implemented.

Accepting Job Opening Advertisements for Posting

Today I experienced a first for this blog. I received a request from a reader to post a job opening advertisement. See the advertisement for Net Systems Administrator A, in Austin, Texas, below.

I have been thinking about asking people to submit advertisements to the blog, but have not yet done anything about it. So this request served as a reminder to me to do so. Thanks to the Austin Public Library staff member who made the request for giving me a little push to do this.

So, if any readers have, or know of, a job opening you would like to see posted here, please send it to me at the e-mail address listed here on the blog and I will post it.

Also, if there is anything you would like to see added to the blog, or any changes you think would enhance it, I would like to have your feedback.

Blog Enhancements

Today I received a nice surprise. This blog was reviewed, and favorably,  by the Library Stuff blog. My blog stats for today are more than ten times what they usually are for this blog. Many people have visited here today, and I am delighted.

I hope the blog is useful and convenient for job seekers. If any of you decide to reply to one of the advertisements found here, please let me know how you fared. Did you get an interview? Did you get the job? Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Steven of Library Stuff mentioned in his posting about my blog he would like to see a way to search the listings by state. I am working on that, and hope to have this implemented in  a few days.
