Richard Dean Anderson Returns to SG1

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. announced that Richard Dean Anderson will reprise his role as General Jack O'Neill in the studio's upcoming straight-to-DVD movie Stargate: Continuum, based on SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate SG-1.

This is wonderful news to me, as Anderson is the primary reason I watched SG1, and without him, I haven't kept up with it much at all.

Richard Dean Anderson Returns to Stargate SG1

Richard Dean Anderson will return to Stargate SG1 in the upcoming to season 10 to mark and celebrate the show's unprecendented 200th episode.

This return will not be limited to a single episode. Anderson will appear in several other episodes and also in some Stargate: Atlantis episodes.

This is wonderful news for me, as Anderson is the main reason I watched Stargate SG1 for the first eight seasons. I have really missed him in the last two seasons and have not watched the series as much as I did in the past. I am looking forward to the upcoming episodes this summer.

Per Richard Dean Anderson's official website, the actor has recently completed his dream-come-true role. He (or his voice) is a recent guest star on the The Simpsons. The announcement did not say when the episode will air. Anderson has long wished to appear on The Simpsons, he said in the announcement.
